Katie is a family mediator and business owner in Portland, Oregon. In 2015, born from a need for appropriate and affordable office space for her mediation practice, Katie started The Consensus Arts Building, a flexible workspace for mediators, facilitators, and related professionals. Since then CAB has become a home for many practitioners in the Portland area, and a resource for families in dispute. Katie accrued her family mediation supervision hours and certifications as an Advanced Domestic Relations Intern at Clackamas County Resolution Services. She studied in the Masters Program at the University of Oregon’s School of Law, Conflict Resolution Program, and completed training for Imago counseling. Katie is a warm, curious person who believes that mediation provides an opportunity to heal, empower, and practice essential life-enhancing communication skills. She specializes in helping with co-parenting solutions for matters like custody/decision making, parenting time, child support, property division, and helping to iron out the details that come with redefining a family.
In addition to mediation, Katie has an affinity for dogs and horses, spends as much time as possible with her new baby girl, and loves traveling and exploring with her friends and family.
